Payton is 14 months, almost 15 months. She is still the best eater next to Jason. She loves sharing Jason's food the most. She is running now and is still climbing everything including an 8 ft. climbing wall at the park all by herself! She has been teething for the past two months and has gone from 2 bottom teeth to almost 6 teeth and I think she is trying to get more. Teething has not really affected her just makes her drouly.

Jaxon is doing great, he is 4 and a half and started school almost a month ago. He loves it and seems to be learning alot and making some new friends. He started T-ball 2 weeks ago and can't wait to begin games because that is when he gets his jersey.

The hog ran off but it was exciting. I never saw the hog which is a good thing. Jason said it was huge about 250lb and if I would have seen it I would have screamed instead of followed!

I can't believe it has been almost a year since we welcome my Sweet P. Time is going way too fast. We came to Midland to celebrate Payton's first birthday with the family. Payton had a great time with everyone.

Updates on Payton, she loves to eat, she doesn't eat alot, but she eats a variety. She only has 2 bottom teeth with no more in sight. However, she is a champion eater, chicken, beef, radishes, bell peppers, carrots, peas, blueberries, mandarine oranges, watermelon and any of the gerber graduates to name some favorites.

I don't know her weight or length but will at her check up in a couple weeks. She can take up to 5 steps, she is interested in walking now, but not in a hurry.

She is still incredibly smiley and happy all the time. She loves playing with Jaxon's toys and for the most part he is a good sharer, she loves to swim and climb.

This is Payton's signature sitting position when in the grass. One leg has to be raised. We recently had our family photos taken and she kept one leg raised and the photographer kept wanting me to put her leg down, I just let her do what she wanted because it is her "thing"

This is the only picture I have from that day, we had a nice weekend, Jason and Jaxon went to a movie together and the next day went to the Reservoir to fish. Jaxon caught a 13in Bass and a large Perch. Jaxon had no interest in touching the Bass!

About once a day Sweet P gives me a heart attack. She has no fear and loves the challenge of climbing. More often than I am comfortable with I will walk into a room and she will be on top of either a bed, table, chair etc... I hope when she begins walking the climbing will stop!

Its been a while since I updated, here are some pictures of our fun at the pool. Jaxon is not swimming yet by himself in the deeper area, however, he swims under the water over the steps, just not confident enough yet to try the deeper water. Payton is a water baby, the shallow water is 1 ft deep and she crawls around in it and blows bubbles and puts her face in. She has to be careful of the rowdy kids though because they make waves that splash over her head, but she takes it like a trouper!

Where does the time go?? Payton's updates, she is now "cruising" she loves going from the coffee table to the couch to the ottoman. She is still pretty clutzy she will crawl sometimes and end up flat on her back, or she will be standing and again fall flat on her back. I feel so bad for her when she falls because she has a great cry and can produce tears no matter what! She loves clapping and playing "patty cake" and her favorite thing is spinning around on her hiney with no hands. She weighs in at 19.04lbs and is 28 inches. She also has 2 teeth on the bottom!

Payton is now 8 months and it just amazes me how fast time is going. Payton is still the smiliest baby I have ever known. I don't know what she weighs but she is a chub! She is crawling and pulling up-not very steady on her feet though. She is cutting her first tooth and she is still just as smiley- you wouldn't even know she is teething. I'm loving every single second of my baby girl!

Jaxon is still an amazing big brother. I remember back when I was first pregnant and I had my worries about him as a big brother because he is such a momma's boy, now it just seems silly that I ever worried. He loves sharing his toys with her and is incredibly patient with her, even when she has two fist fulls of his hair!

I can't believe Payton is 7 months old! Time has gone by so fast! Payton is 17.10lb she can move wherever she wants to go backwards! She is really trying to crawl, but likes sitting much more! She is the sweetest little girl and always smiling! She had the flu this week and still didn't complain or cry even with a high fever. She laughs whenever you kiss her (greatest sound)!

Happy 6 months Miss P! This is posted a month late! I haven't been very good about keeping up with the blog lately!

Patyon is 17.4lbs 75% and 26in She says momma and dadda but since she started saying dadda she doesn't say momma anymore! :( She still adores Jaxon so much and he is still incredibly helpful with her. She had begun trying to crawl, she gets on all fours and rocks, but hasn't quite figured out much beyond that. We keep wondering when she will crawl because when Jaxon was this age he was already pulling up and holding on to furniture and walking!

This is the outfit Jaxon picked out to give her for Christmas, he was so excited that she could be a super hero too (she also has the pink Superman!)

Patyon is 6 months old and still is so laid back and just the smiliest thing every (if that is a word!) She lights up at Jaxon's face and is letting Jason hold her a little more everyday! She weighs in at a cubby 17.4lb and is a little more than 26in. Her accomplishments are: rolling front to back and back to front and sitting she is up to about 20 min of sitting time before she is tired and wants to lay. She has also started getting on her hands and knees! Jaxon is the proudest big brother and cheers and claps every time she rolls or sits or basically does anything! He loves her so much and actually shares his toys with her and doesn't get upset when they go immediately into her mouth!

Payton's three month stats. She weighs 12lbs and is rolling over. Jaxon is so proud of her and gets so excited when she rolls. She however gets pretty pissy when she rolls while she is sleeping. She is sleeping in her crib and sleeps on average 4 hours (sometimes more sometimes less). Its hard because Jaxon was sleeping 8-8 when he was 9 weeks old. Oh well!

Payton arrived surprisingly early on July 6, at 7:25am. She weighed 6lb10oz and is 18.5in. She is beautiful and looks like a little petite girlier Jaxon! Jaxon absolutely adores her and never wants to leave her side!

We went to Longview to visit Jason's granny, we took him out to the lakehouse and went fishing. He caught his first fish 2 seconds after he dropped the line in the water! And within 30 minutes he had caught a total of 3 fish! He is quite the little fisherman! He loved every minute of it!

I had my 20 week prenatal appointment yesterday, we did the sonogram, and the baby cooperated perfectly! At one point she was sitting right on top of the sonogram wand with her legs open to give us a perfect picture of the fact she is a girl! Jason still doesn't believe it! We are very excited! Jaxon is too since he is the one who has been predicting a girl all along!

Jaxon is all boy and going through a superhero stage. First it was Spiderman now it is usually Batman or Wolverine! His Nonnie made him a Batman costume for his birthday and she let him open it early! He put it on in stages, but within an hour had the whole costume on! He proceeded to go out to eat as Batman and sleep in the costume as well!

We actually went trick-or-treating this year! If you remember last year Jaxon refused to wear his costume so we stayed home and just handed out candy. Well, this year Jaxon agreed to wear his costume! He was a little hunter, minus his hat and his camo face paint, and minus a gun (all the guns were as big as he is). It took a few houses to get the excitement in him and the understanding that all he had to do was ring a few doorbells and he would get candy. The sad part was a good majority of the candy of course had peanuts or peanut butter or was processed in a plant that processed peanuts, so as soon as we got home we had to swap out most of his treats! I don't think he even noticed though! Here are some pictures of Jaxon and his little friend Audrey trick-or-treating!

We went to visit Connie (Jaxon's nonnie) at the ranch last week so Jason and Pops could go hunting. Jaxon had so much fun feeding carrots to the horses and donkeys. He also helped collect fresh eggs and tomatoes. Jaxon has recently become interested in Superman and Spiderman, here he is being Superman.

Today we went to Grapevine for the 12th Annual Flutterby Butterflies. It was really fun, there were arts and crafts and activities. The reason we went was for the release of butterflies. Three times during the afternoon they held a release of 250 Monarch Butterflies. We got to release our own butterfly to migrate to Mexico.

Keller Stew Festival

We went to Keller Town Hall to the Annual Keller Stew Festival on Friday evening. Jaxon bounced in a bounce house, did crafts, shots some hoops, got to see a Fire Truck up close and watched a weird guy do magic! He had a great time and was running from place to place!

Jaxon and I went to the Nash Farm Festival on Saturday while Jason was in Minnesota. We had a great time even though it had rained all night and was cold and really muddy! There were tractor hay rides- that Jaxon didn't want to go on! He was so excited to see them, but was terrified! There were pony rides too! But Jaxon wouldn't even go near them! So we went to the petting zoo, but by that time I was having my doubts that he would actually go through the gate once it was our turn. He kinda surprised me and we went in the petting zoo and he was so excited and actually petted all the animals and brushed the rabbit with the goat brush! Next we stood in line forever to pick out a pumpkin. Jaxon found the right one for him and was so happy with it that he held it in his lap the whole way home.

We spent alot of time in airports these past couple days. Jaxon did really great on the airplane. He has been on airplanes a few times before this trip, however; this is the first time he actually understands that he is on an airplane flying in the air! He loved it!

UNM Hall of Honor

We flew to Albuquerque for a super short trip. We went for my Papa's induction to the University of New Mexico's Hall of Honor. It was a great ceremony and it is such an honor to have my papa's athleticism acknowledged. I've always known my papa was a great football player, having played for UNM and for the Detroit Lions in 1939 but it was really nice to hear more about his life back then and to learn more of the other things he did to contribute to UNM. We are so proud of you Papa Dutch "the Flying Dutchman".

Jaxon and I were driving from Keller back to Midland and stopped at a rest stop. We were walking Gizmo and all of a sudden Jaxon is screaming "bite me, bite me." I grabed him and slapped the fire ants off of him threw Gizmo in the car and started treating Jaxon's bites. He was only bitten 4 times, but of course he is allergic. Here are the lovely pictures of his little foot, this is 3 days after he was bitten. It took 4 days before we could fit a shoe on it.

We went home last weekend for the first time in 6 weeks! It was great being at home and our house was still there with no problems! Jaxon walked around the house saying "my home, my home". I think he was so happy to get to play in his playroom and to see his little friends. We had a small get together with the Lobatos, Smiths, and Morris's. We got to meet little baby Harper, unfortunately I did not do well taking picutres and didn't get any of them or anything else!

Jaxon has become a good little swimmer! We have been doing lessons for about a month now! He blows bubbles, puts his whole face and head under the water and kicks to where he wants to go. He can't go very far yet, just about 2 or 3 feet then he puts his feet down! He is turning into a little fish!

Once again sorry for being behind with the blog! We celebrated the 4th with good friends and food! The kids had a great time even though we didn't see any fireworks! We heard the fireworks when we were leaving and Jaxon completely freaked out and buried his head in my shoulder and cried!

I'm still having problems with transfering pictures to my computer, so sorry this is late! This past weekend was Jason's birthday and father's day! However, Jason isn't one to really celebrate either of those events, so it was a normal weekend for us! I did however make him a delicious crooked cake! It wasn't the prettiest but it was very yummy. I even made it without eggs so Jaxon could eat it, and of course he wasn't interested at all!

Anyway, here are some pictures from the weekend before at the Ranch with Jaxon's Nonnie (Jason's mom).

I took Jaxon down to the Keller Point pool where we are members, he had a great time! However, I miss our pool at our old house! He loves the water, but not a big fan of cold water. He would get in waist deep and cross his arms over his chest and say "mama old (cold)." So he played in the super shallow end with the water spouts. He would get his head wet then gallup to his towel and dry off his hair.

Jaxon and I road the train from Grapevine to the Stockyards of Fort Worth. We went with our across the street neighbor friend Preston and his nana. We had a great time. The train ride is about an hour & a half. Then we walked around, ate lunch and watched the cattle drive. Then it was time for the train again!

First off sorry this is so delayed! My camera has been shorting out the USB cord that connects to the computer so I had to wait till Jason came home to get these pictures uploaded.

We had a great Mother's Day. I got to sleep in (which Jason lets me do pretty much every weekend!). Then we went to The Dallas World Aquarium. We had a great time. Jaxon loved it and even now when we talk about it his little face lights up! His favorite animals were the penguins and the sea otters. I have no idea why he loved the penguins so much because they did absolutely nothing. He loved the sea otters because they swam so fast and he could chase them from side to side!

Jason and his dad and brother went rock crawling last weekend in Mason, TX. Katemcy is an off road park that is 800 acres of granite rock. They had a great time and Jason's jeep came back with several "character" scratches on the fenders- apparantly that means it is really cool now!

Movie Day!

My neighbor and friend Shannon and I took Jaxon and her daughter Audrey to the movies today! It was Jaxon's first movie and he did so well! Sorry there aren't any pictures, I planned to take a picture however we got there after the previews started so we didn't get a chance! We went to the theater in Southlake Town Square which has a showing at 10am everyday for the Mickey's Kids Club (whatever that is) but it is non-new releases. We saw Cars, which was perfect for Jaxon. I was a little nervous he would be scared because of how big the screen is, but he loved it. He stood for the first half of the movie holding on to the chair in front of him, and for the first 15 minutes he pointed at the screen and would say "mamma vroom vroom!" over and over which is his way of saying "mamma look at the cars!" He was able to eat the theater's popcorn which was exciting too! I had to call ahead of time to find out the ingredients- which I know it is corn, but I had to know what kind of plant it was manufactured in to know if he could eat it or not! Jaxon exceded all my expectations even though he fell asleep the last 15 minutes of the movie!

Okay, did ya'll ever see the movie ELF with Will Farrell? If you did you would know that Buddy, the elf, loved syrup. Well, I have my own Buddy the elf. Jaxon loves pancakes with his syrup most mornings. But this morning he was dipping his knuckles in the syrup and slurping it off of his hand, totally ignoring the pancakes, so gross!

Base...ball

Jaxon has really got into baseball this week. He calls it base...ball. He carries his bat everywhere with him. He doesn't want to sleep or eat; all he wants to do is play base...ball. He is even able to hit a pitched ball. He isn't allowed to have the tee in the house but that doesn't stop him, he has substituted our new coffee table for his tee. He can hit it from the coffee table to the front door. In our house you really have to be on your toes! So far nothing has been broken or knocked off the walls! Tonight after Jaxon went to bed I hid his bat! Hopefully the melt downs won't be too bad tommorrow!

Easter this year was raining so we had to hunt easter eggs inside. Jaxon loved it regardless and was thrilled even more when he figured out there was candy inside the eggs. We however, did not dye easter eggs due to the fact that Jaxon is allergic and anything slightly round becomes a ball and I had visions of hard boiled eggs flying through my house.

Weekend Project!

We are rocking the runs in our backyard (well Jason is). We are trying to cut down on the mud the dogs get into after the sprinklers go off. Here is Jaxon helping his da-da. He was filling up his sand bucket and walking it over to the side of the house and pouring it down. He did such a good job and was so proud of himself. Jason has been working on it now for about 5 hours and when he is done he will have moved 6 tons of rock!

This Saturday we took the kids to the Heritage neighborhood Egg Hunt. Included were Jaxon, Campbell, Keta, Beckham, McKenna and baby Barrett. Here are some precious pictures. Keep in mind Jaxon had only woken up about 15 minutes prior to the Egg Hunt and like his momma is not a morning person. So you will see him frowning quite a bit.

2 year old stats!

Jaxon's 2 year well check was a week ago. He is 27lbs (25 percentile) and 34in (50 percentile). He is able to ride his tricycle down the street and back! He gets a little frustrated going uphill against the wind and then he will ride it "Fred Flinstone" style (running his feet). So far he hasn't hit the "terrible twos" really yet! Thank the Lord! I took Jaxon to "Jump In" last week, a play place with 3 rooms of bounce houses, anyway he loved it. His favorite thing was climbing the 15 foot wall and sliding down the other side! He was like a 2 year old marine! He did it all by himself even the first time. If he missed his feet he would continue to hold on until he found the foot block. I have it on video, but unfortunately I can't get our software on our computer to work!

It was Lilly's 2nd birthday party last weeken! She had a great party at her house complete with a large bounce house. Lilly and Jaxon had so much fun jumping and climbing and sliding in the bounce house! We had great weather for the party! Jaxon discovered a new favorite toy over at Lilly's (her tricycle, just like his but hers has a long handle that others can push it around). Lets just say he stayed on it for almost the whole party and if he got off and someone else got on he would follow them around until they got off so he could get on. At least he didn't take it away from anyone!

If you follow our blog you would know that this Halloween Jaxon refused to wear his cosutme. Since then I have had it hanging in his closet where it is accessible to him and right in front of his face anytime he opens his closet. I did this in the hope that he would become interested in it and want to wear it. Fianlly! Last night he got it out of his closet and took it to da-da and wanted him to put it on him! One of the gifts Jaxon got for Christmas was a Black and Decker tool bench from his Nonnie (Jason's mom). Anyway, this morning Jason was fixing the tv in our bed room. He was unscrewing it to open it up. Jaxon saw him doing this and immediately ran to the play room grabbed his screw driver and began "unscrewing the screws". He had the right idea and was doing it in all the right spots!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Christmas Eve we celebrated with Jason's side of the family. Everyone came over to our house and cooked and hung out. Next on Christmas Day we spent it with my side of the family and went out to my sister's in Canton. Unfortunately I was sick the whole time, but still had a very nice Christmas.

Christmas this year was alot of fun with Jaxon. He loved ripping into the presents and oohhing and awwing over what was inside! He was very spoiled this year and the pictures don't even begin to show what all he got. So for his birthday NO TOYS!

If you notice all the decorations start above Jaxon's head this is because Jaxon hasn't learned the difference between balls and Christmas ornaments. So far he has thrown 3 of them and broke them. Okay, so sorry I don't have any pictures for Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving however. We drove down to South Texas to Riviera so Jaxon could meet Jason's grandparents. We spent a few hours there and drove back. We spent Thanksgiving at my sisters in Canton. Then on Friday Jason cooked our first Thanksgiving meal and it was delicious. During the trip we stopped off in Austin to see Kurt and we got Heidi back. So now Heidi is a part of our family again! Yay 4 dogs!

This weekend Jaxon and I packed up and went to our old home of Canton. We went to watch my niece and nephew (Tory and Evan) ride in a youth rodeo (which their team came in 1st place). Jaxon had a great time seeing the horses, calves, and goats. He also enjoyed the ladies there. He was meeting all new ladies and loved to show them his tummy!

Okay, so I don't know how ya'lls Halloween went, but ours was uneventful! So, Jaxon wanted nothing to do with his Turtle costume (I can't say that I was surprised). He screamed every time the costume came near him. Although he did learn to say turtle and treat for this day. So instead of Jaxon wearing the cute little turtle costume Jason did!

Jason and I went on vacation to Puerta Vallarta with some friends last week for 5 days! It was wonderful (pictures will be posted later when I have all of them). Until then here are some pictures from Jaxon's Nonnie (Jason's mom) who babysat while we were gone.

Okay, so this picture is taken by Jason when Jaxon was 14 months old. I have no idea where I was during this because I sure don't remember it and would never feed Jaxon this way. But apparently this is how Jason feeds or fed Jaxon if I was not around. It looks like he is eating some kind of oatmeal, watermelon, and beans. Yum! Who knows what meal of the day it is and you can't tell by the combination of the foods! Dads sure do things differently!

We had a great Sunday! My parents were nearby in Canton babysitting my niece and nephew and we all met up at the Dallas Arboretum. All except Jason, he had to go back to OKC early. We had a great time, Jaxon loved playing (and throwing the pumpkins).
